Fluoroboric acid CAS 16872-11-0

CAS No.16872-11-0
Other Name:
Fluoboric acid;
Tetrafluorobori
MF:HBF4

Fluoroboric acid:

Colorless liquid. Melting point -90 ℃. Boiling point 130 ℃. It can be miscible with water or alcohol. Fluoroboric acid is used as a cleaning and corrosive agent for metal surface oxides and silicate films, as well as for cleaning before aluminum and alloy electroplating. Lead tin electroplating is used as a conductive liquid, as well as a catalyst and metal surfactant.

The use of fluoroboric acid:

Used as a cleaning and corrosive agent for metal surface oxides and silicate films, as well as for cleaning before aluminum and alloy electroplating. A 2.5% solution is used for electrolytic polishing of pure aluminum and for removing welding flux and electroplating parts from the metal substrate. Used as a catalyst for alkylation and polymerization, preservative, chemical reagent, and raw material for preparing various fluoroborates.

Used as a catalyst for acetaldehyde synthesis, metal surface cleaner, polishing agent for lead electrolysis, stabilizer for diazonium salts, etc; Used as a stabilizer for diazonium salts and also in the electrolytic industry; Used for cleaning metal surfaces and alloys before electroplating. Composition of aluminum and steel phosphate passivation preservatives, suitable lead dissolving electrolytes for lead batteries, enhanced crude oil permeability in oilfield exploitation, raw materials for producing diazonium salt stabilizers and various fluoroborates, catalysts for alkylation and polymerization. Cleaning and corrosive agents for metal surface oxides and silicate films. Especially for pre electroplating cleaning of aluminum and alloy, electrolytic polishing of pure aluminum, and re cleaning of welding flux and electroplating parts from low activity metal substrates, which are important components of electroplating solutions.
