The use of 1,4-dioxane:
Mainly used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, celluloid, cellulose resin, vegetable oil, mineral oil, and oil-soluble dyes, as well as in the manufacturing of spray paint, varnish, plasticizer, wetting agent, polishing agent, paint remover, spice, preservative, fumigation disinfectant, deodorant, and medical supplies.
Main purpose:
This product is used as a solvent, reaction medium, and extractant in the manufacturing of special fine chemicals such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, spices, and scientific research. In Japan, this product is mainly used as a stabilizer for 1,1,1-trichloroethane, with an added amount of 2.5-4%; Secondly, it is widely used as a reaction solvent for polyurethane synthetic leather, amino acid synthetic leather, etc. This product has strong solubility, similar to dimethylformamide and stronger than tetrahydrofuran. 1,4-dioxane has the following important uses:
- It forms a coordination compound with sulfur trioxide and can be used as a sulfating agent in the synthesis of many compounds;
- Used for the extraction of pharmaceuticals and pesticides, as well as the dewaxing of petroleum products;
- Used as a dispersant for dyes, wood colorants, and solvents for oil soluble dyes;
- Used as a high-purity metal surface treatment agent, etc
